Last night my dad took me to dinner and I picked Kansas City's Blue Bird Bistro. Oganic and local food, funky art on the wall, nice tile work (as Dad noticed), a pretty great place. We celebrated a little early birthday with orange cilantro sorbet (unbelievably good!) and vegan cake (mostly good). Not pictured is dad's loud and funny zodiac tie. What a guy.
